Ms. Evelyn H. Barnett, 90, passed away Friday evening, December 16, 2022, at the Grand Haven Nursing Home in Cynthiana, Kentucky.
Evelyn was born in Rockcastle County, on October 13, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Chester and Lilly Robinson Holt. Evelyn was a nurse and retired from Pattie A. Clay Hospital in Richmond. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include one son: Alan Barnett; five grandchildren: Amanda Riley (Phillip), Christina Winburn (Kellen), Bethany Davis (Taylor), Laura Maynard (Josh) and Brandon Barnett (Ashley); eight great-grandchildren: Reagan Riley, Stella Riley, Ryker Davis, Rhett Davis, Sloane Maynard, Carley Barnett, Brooklyn Barnett and Colton Hale Barnett; three sisters: Bonnie Spitser, Helen Williams and Brenda Williams (Leroy); one brother: Olan Holt as well as several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son: Stanley Barnett Jr.; one granddaughter: Ashley Brooke Barnett; two sisters: Chessie Singleton and Patricia Holt and four brothers: Dempsey Holt, William Gene Holt, Johnny Holt and Jerry Holt.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2022, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Guiley officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Brandon Barnett, Kellen Winburn, Phillip Riley, Taylor Davis, Josh Maynard and Malachi Bowen.
